Pilot transfer

LVR Fleet provides pilot transfer services by water and land.

A marine pilot is a specialist who is well versed in the navigational conditions of a port and whose job it is to help ships enter and leave the port, to help with mooring and unmooring or to help ships in the roadstead. In order for the pilot to get to the ship that is waiting to enter the Freeport of Riga, he or she must be safely transported to the ship and afterwards from the berth back to the pilot base at the Freeport of Riga Harbour Master’s Service.
